WA Specific Info on the options when baby is breech

Breech (bum down) position occurs in 3-4% of pregnancies at term. It is important to be aware of your birthing options if your baby is breech at term, as they change significantly to a baby in cephalic (head down) position. There are some different variations of breech position that will impact the decisions you make for the baby's birth as well.

Please Note: Since this resource was made, Fiona Stanley Hospital began doing vaginal breech births as well. Now the two hospitals in WA that allow vaginal breech birth are Fiona Stanley Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital.
